240,229 to go

On Friday, Steve Beshear boasted that 39,771 Kentuckians enrolled in a private health plan through Kentucky’s ObamaCare system.

Barack Obama won Politifact’s Lie of the Year in 2013 when he broke his pledge that Americans could keep their health care plan, if they liked it. Unfortunately, Obama’s broken promise costs 280,000 Kentuckians their health plan.

Based on Beshear’s numbers, enrollments in a private health plan through Kentucky’s ObamaCare exchange account for about 14% of those who lost their coverage thanks to Obama’s broken promise.

Beshear’s ObamaCare exchange must find private health plans for about 240,229 Kentuckians before Beshear can claim his ObamaCare system breaks even.
