Grimes panders to union bosses, McConnell fights for workers

The Republican Party of Kentucky released the following statement today highlighting another clear contrast between the U.S. Senate candidates on issues facing Kentuckians

While Mitch McConnell is in Washington today proposing legislation fighting for the middle class workers of America — legislation that is also backed by Kentucky’s other Republican Senator Rand Paul – Alison Lundergan Grimes is proudly standing with big union bosses at an AFL-CIO conference.

“Alison Lundergan Grimes’ loyalty to big union bosses stands in clear contrast with Mitch McConnell, who is working hard in Washington to provide Kentucky workers with the right to decide whether to join a union, rather than being mandated to pay union dues,” said Kelsey Cooper, Communications Director for the Republican Party of Kentucky.

“What’s even clearer is that Alison Lundergan Grimes will always put her unwavering support of special interests and her liberal elite backers ahead of hard working Kentuckians that deserve to have their voices heard and represented.”
