FRANKFORT, Ky. (September 22, 2022) – The Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) issued the following statement ahead of Governor Beshear’s weekly press conference:
“It’s been a terrible, no good, very bad week for Andy Beshear and his administration,” said RPK spokesman Sean Southard. “There is a lack of leadership in the Governor’s office. From on-going unemployment problems to the possible cover up of jailhouse riots, Governor Beshear’s administration is just falling apart.”

- Last week, whistleblowers told WAVE 3 News they had reported concerns about violence at the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Center to the Beshear Administration, but those concerns had fallen on deaf ears at the Justice Cabinet. “At the rate Andy’s administration is falling apart, he might need some zip ties to hold it together,” Southard said. “Kentucky deserves better leadership from the Governor’s office.”
