Grimes losing steam in Kentucky

Alison Lundergan Grimes is losing some serious steam in Kentucky.

WESTERN KY. DEMOCRATS SAY THEY’LL SUPPORT SENATOR MCCONNELL. “Still, Owensboro Democrat Andy Gamblin was wearing a Grimes sticker but still said he’d vote for McConnell if the election were today.” (cn|2, Grimes Faces Challenge In Convincing Conservative Western Kentucky Democrats, 9/23/13)

KENTUCKY COAL LEADERS DOUBT ALISON LUNDERGAN GRIMES WILL FIGHT AS HARD FOR COAL AS SENATOR MCCONNELL. ”But when you consider we’re hearing a lot of rumors about upcoming fundraisers with Sen. Harry Reid, there is a real question of what that relationship is going to be with someone who has carried out all of the president’s marching order against coal in the Senate. It is my understanding that if someone gives you money, you expect them to think and act like they do.” (WFPL, Kentucky Coal Leader Doubts Alison Lundergan Grimes Could Be Stronger Advocate Than Mitch McConnell, 9/18/13)

KENTUCKY ENVIRONMENTALISTS NOT ENTHUSIASTIC FOR GRIMES, SEARCH FOR MORE PROGRESSIVE CANDIDATE. “Longtime Louisville environmental activist Sarah Lynn Cunningham says voters who care about the environment are frustrated with Grimes and that enthusiasm is already declining more than a year before Election Day.” (WFPL, Ky. Environmentalists Want Alison Lundergan Grimes to Address Energy Future Beyond Coal, 9/23/13)

With headlines like these, it’s no wonder she’s been avoiding the press.

And, yes, that’s Part-Time Grimes pulling the old “phone to the ear” trick to avoid talking to a Kentucky reporter at an event this weekend.
