Frankfort, Ky. (August 16, 2023) – The Republican Party of Kentucky released the following statement from House Education Committee Chairman James Tipton in response to the Governor’s latest press conference:
“It’s clear that Andy Beshear is trying to catch up to the Cameron Catch-Up plan unveiled by Attorney General Daniel Cameron yesterday,” House Education Committee Chairman James Tipton said. “For years, Andy Beshear has made empty promises to teachers, parents, and students. He inflicted historic learning loss on a generation. And now he suddenly cares about education? He nor any member of his office has reached out to me to discuss any plan. Daniel Cameron has. The education framework released by Daniel Cameron has a much better chance of passing than anything proposed by this Governor and his administration.
“It’s time to turn the page on Andy’s empty promises and deliver solutions for teachers, parents, and students by electing Daniel Cameron as our next governor.”
