Frankfort, Ky. (May 26, 2023) – The Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) is drawing attention to Andy Beshear’s disastrous record on coal, reminding Kentucky voters he proudly voted for Hillary Clinton, who said she would “put a lot of coal companies and coal miners out of business,” and Joe Biden, who has waged a war on American energy since taking office.
“It’s just shameful that Andy Beshear is trying to run away from his record on coal,” RPK spokesman and Cameron campaign surrogate Sean Southard said. “Andy Beshear and his family have been longtime supporters of the Democrat war on coal. Andy voted for both Clinton and Biden, knowing they hated Kentucky coal. Andy will always support his radical party’s leadership and their war on Kentucky coal.”

Not only has Andy supported National Democrats and their War on Coal; his father Steve Beshear did, too, and was mentioned as a potential Vice Presidential candidate for Hillary.
Earlier this week, Andy Beshear touted the endorsement of a union that previously endorsed President Obama, who worked harder than any other president to undermine Kentucky’s coal industry.
“Andy is trying hard to hide his love for national Democrats like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden in an election year, but Kentuckians know better,” Southard added. “They know he’s just another radical Democrat who doesn’t represent our values.”
