VIDEO: Beshear’s Education Commissioner says if teachers don’t like his gender guidance they can look for another job

FRANKFORT, Ky. (February 9, 2023) – The Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) is criticizing the Beshear Administration after Education Commissioner Jason Glass said that if teachers did not want to follow the Kentucky Department of Education’s guidance on the preferred use of pronouns, they ought to look for another job.

“Andy Beshear likes to say he’s the greatest public education governor in Kentucky history, but you can’t say that when your administration tells teachers to comply with its radical gender theory or quit,” RPK spokesman Sean Southard said. “While giving testimony earlier this week, Commissioner of Education Jason Glass said teachers needed to look for another job if they didn’t want to follow guidance about using preferred names and pronouns. Andy Beshear and his administration are woke in sheep’s clothing. They say people who raise concerns about these matters, including parents and teachers, are being ‘political.’ Every parent and public school teacher who believes in mainstream Kentucky values ought to ask themselves: Does Andy Beshear represent me?”
