In their first Oversight Committee Hearing, Chairman James Comer gets Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to say they need to investigate Andy Beshear
FRANKFORT, Ky. (February 2, 2023) – In yesterday’s first Oversight Committee hearing, Chairman James Comer was able to get New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the so-called Squad, to suggest an investigation of Andy Beshear’s mishandling of the state unemployment system might be necessary.
“His first day leading a hearing as Chairman of the Oversight Committee, and Congressman Comer is already delivering results,” RPK spokesman Sean Southard said. “As the Committee launched its investigation into the misuse of COVID-19 relief funding, AOC suggested the Committee should look into Andy Beshear’s mismanagement of the state unemployment system, uncovered in an audit by Auditor Harmon. Congressman Comer agreed and offered to do an investigation. We applaud this move by Congressman Comer to get answers about the blunders of the Beshear Administration.”
