GOP Caucus Results to be Released Exclusively through AP

FRANKFORT – Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) announced The Associated Press (AP) will exclusively deliver results for the March 5th Kentucky Republican Presidential Caucus.  Results will be reported directly to AP from RPK.

Caucus voting hours on Saturday are 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. local time.  Ballots will be tabulated at each of the 125 caucus locations, with the results reported to RPK Headquarters via telephone and photo confirmation.  Per Caucus rules, RPK is the sole entity permitted to report any Caucus results to the media, and no tabulated results shall be reported prior to 7:00 p.m. ET.

Results will be compiled and reviewed by the party, and shared with AP. As the news organization inserts the results into its election system, it will share any data issues with the party. Results that are successfully inserted will be transmitted, after 7:00 p.m. ET, to AP’s newspaper and broadcast members and subscribers, and publicly posted on the RPK’s website at

The RPK Executive Committee will certify the results of the Kentucky Republican Presidential Caucus and the allocation of delegates within three weeks of the Caucus.
