Republicans Delivered This Legislative Session

Frankfort, Ky. (March 30, 2023) – The Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) issued the following statement ahead of the conclusion of the 2023 legislative session:

“We wish to congratulate the Republican General Assembly on all of the success they achieved this year, including the override of every single veto issued by Andy Beshear,” RPK spokesman Sean Southard said. “As it was in past years, Andy Beshear will try to take credit for every single bill he signed, but the reality is he is the most irrelevant governor in Kentucky political history. He is not responsible for a single piece of legislation. He once again sat on the sidelines of the legislative session while Republicans delivered on the promises they made to Kentuckians. I’m sure he will use his campaign war-chest to try to convince Kentuckians otherwise, but during this legislative session he only did one thing: reveal his total and complete allegiance to the progressive values of the National Democrat Party. This November, we look forward to electing a true leader who will be engaged with our House and Senate leadership to be a partner for Kentuckians, instead of an obstacle.”
