What rhymes with Alison Lundergan Grimes?

Sticks to liberal party lines.

If past few weeks have told Kentuckians anything, it’s that if elected to the senate, Alison Lundergan Grimes would definitely be voting the liberal party lines and joining Democrats in pursuing their radically left agenda.

Yes, that same liberal agenda First Lady Michelle Obama was talking about when she said our country needs people like Alison Lundergan Grimes in the senate to move it forward.

FLASHBACK:

Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes was among the female candidates who gathered with the first lady for a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser, where Obama spoke of the need to elect more Democratic senators to further the president’s agenda.

The first lady, talking about how narrowly “Obamacare” had passed and the slim margin by which gun control legislation was defeated, said that “it is critical that we elect Michelle Nunn, Alison Grimes, Natalie Tennant.” (Herald-Leader, 11/18/13)

So if Michelle Obama’s anti-coal, anti-gun, and pro-Obamacare agenda isn’t enough evidence of Grimes’ liberal loyalties, here are a few more recent examples:

GRIMES SUPPORTS PATHWAY TO CITIZENSHIP FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

“’It’s not just securing our borders … It’s making sure we have a pathway to citizenship for so many that are here in the Commonwealth,’ Grimes said. Grimes specifically cited the need for a clearer pathway to citizenship, which she said can have a positive economic impact on the commonwealth.” (CN2 Pure Politics, 11/22/13)

“Grimes said her position remains that there are ’11 million individuals who deserve an earned pathway to citizenship while we are securing our borders.’”(Herald-Leader, 11/22/13)

GRIMES SUPPORTS NUCLEAR OPTION, ANTI-COAL OBAMA AGENDA

“It is worth us taking action to make sure that we move Senate procedure along.” (Herald-Leader, 11/22/13)

“WHAS 11 reporter Joe Arnold asked Grimes her thoughts on filibuster reform debate. Grimes said that ‘reform was needed and necessary.’” (CN2 Pure Politics, 11/22/13)

“’I think it is worth exploring at this point,’ Grimes said, ‘because what has been going on in Washington DC isn’t working for Kentucky.’” (WHAS11, 11/21/13)

“Filibuster change clears path for Obama climate regs crackdown by @lbarronlopez #coalcountrystrong j.mp/1aOIDXW” (Kentucky Coal Association Tweet, 11/23/13)

GRIMES SUPPORTS OBAMACARE

“Grimes is already on record about the law, saying she would extend the enrollment period and delay the individual mandate in light of problems with the federal enrollment website. But she would not repeal it.”  (Richmond Register, 11/13/13)

“Last month, she told CNHI News: ‘I have my concerns with the Affordable Care Act,’ but added, ‘Unlike Mitch McConnell I don’t think you throw the entire act out.’” (Richmond Register, 11/13/13)

“Whenever ‘Party-Line’ Grimes attempts to express her thoughts on the issues of the day – though those instances are rare – the only thing that comes across is her absolute and unwavering support of the liberal Obama and Reid agenda,” said Kelsey Cooper, RPK Communications Director. “It becomes clearer each day that if elected to the Senate, Grimes would vote in lockstep with our country’s most liberal Democrat party leaders and push forward an agenda that hurts Kentucky.”
