Frankfort, Ky. (May 3, 2023) – The Republican Party of Kentucky issued the following statement in response to Andy Beshear’s latest statement on his administration’s mismanagement of Eastern Kentucky flood recovery.
“Andy Beshear promised Eastern Kentucky that he would be there to help rebuild after devastating floods hit the region last year,” RPK spokesman Sean Southard said. “And when new reports appeared last week describing how Andy Beshear and his Administration had botched the response, Andy said he hadn’t read it and then hopped on a plane to have dinner with Joe Biden. When Andy finally found the time to read the story about a week later, he said he believes everyone ought to be treated with “fairness and compassion.’ Apparently Andy Beshear’s compassion for flood victims in Eastern Kentucky means he can bulldoze your home and destroy priceless family heirlooms without your consent. Joe Biden’s man in Kentucky will never miss an opportunity to cozy up to his boss in the White House, instead of keeping his promises to Kentuckians.”
