Frankfort, Ky. (July 14, 2023) – The Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) issued the following statement in response to Governor Beshear ignoring economic realities and taking credit for tax and spending policies he’s actively fought during his time in office.
“Kentuckians are being crushed financially in Joe Biden’s economy and Andy Beshear is trying to have it both ways,” said Sean Southard, RPK spokesman and the Cameron for Governor campaign. “He wants to take credit for the revenue surplus while he fought the tax and budget policy set by Republicans. Beshear got caught lying about the number of people working in the state, and then touted the fact that people have to work multiple jobs as a sign of economic health. As a follower of Bidenomics, Andy Beshear is ignoring reality.”
