FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 6, 2023) – The Republican Party of Kentucky issued the following statement in response to Governor Beshear’s press conference this morning.
“Governor Beshear has fully turned his official apparatus into a campaign war room,” RPK spokesman Sean Southard said. “Today he announced that Kentucky had the lowest unemployment rate in its history in 2022 and rolled out a ‘new’ economic initiative to solve Biden’s supply chain crisis two years too late. This is all window dressing. He hasn’t worked with Republicans to reduce our state’s unemployment rate and this new initiative sounds like the bare minimum of what his administration should have already been doing. Andy Beshear is the last vestige of the good ole boy Democrat system. He is the most irrelevant policy governor in our history. We look forward to electing a Republican governor who will put forth a cohesive vision and work with the majority party to make Kentucky the best place to work and live.”
