MIA?

Yesterday Part Time Grimes had the audacity to tweet that Kentuckians deserved a senator that wouldn’t be missing in action, calling on Senator McConnell to lead. The truly amusing thing is, at the moment she pressed send, Senator McConnell was in a meeting with the President at the White House on the subject.

Apparently her part-time practice extends to reading the news as well.  The meeting was “cordial,” but Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi still refused to compromise or negotiate.

In a continuation of Republicans’ efforts to negotiate and fund the government, today the House is set to pass a bill to fund veterans’ affairs and the National Guard.

Since Alison Lundergan Grimes has said she’ll side with Democrats in the government shutdown, we want to know: Would she also vote against restoring funding to veterans affairs and the National Guard?

The question is whether she’ll continue to put her partisan loyalties ahead of the needs and will of Kentuckians, and so far we’ve seen that being Obama and Harry Reid’s candidate in Kentucky means she’ll always vote the party line.
